Four Seniors Sign to Play Collegiate Sports

On Thursday, May 15th, four Emmanuel Christian Academy seniors signed their letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Gus Carrier, Jaeshaun Ferryman, Austin Perks, and Alex Pinkleton all signed to play collegiately. Gus Carrier signed with Wright State University Lake Campus to play basketball. Carrier plans to study business and marketing. He was a four year member of the Lions basketball team. In his senior season he was a first team all-Metro Buckeye Conference selection as well as the league's Defensive Player of the Year. Jaeshaun Ferryman signed with Central State University to play football and study business. Ferryman was a three year member of the Lions basketball team. He played football at Springfield High School for three years. In basketball he was a second team all-Metro Buckeye Conference selection his sophomore year and named to first team all-conference for his junior and senior seasons. Austin Perks signed with Heidelberg University to play golf and major in business management. Perks was a four year member of the golf, bowling, and baseball teams. In golf he was a three time second team all-Metro Buckeye Conference selection. As a bowler Perks made the MBC's first team as a sophomore and a junior and the second team in his freshman and senior seasons. He also received the Coaches Award his senior season. In baseball he was named second team all-MBC his sophomore season. Alex Pinkleton signed with Grace College to run cross country and track & field. He plans to major in communications and sports management. Pinkleton was a four year member of the soccer and basketball teams, a three year member of the track & field team, and he ran cross country his senior year. He was a first team all-conference selection in soccer his senior year, second team in basketball and first team in track & field. In cross country he was part of the first cross country team in Emmanuel Christian history to make it to the state championship meet. In track & field he was named the Metro Buckeye Conference Athlete of the Year in 2025. Congratulations Alex, Austin, Jaeshaun, and Gus!
